Lumi Co timeline and development history

About Lumi

Lumi.Media was founded in 2016 by TV and entertainment producers who knew there was a better way for editorial teams to work together.

Our vision is to empower creative teams to reach new levels of productivity at every stage of production. Designed especially for the TV and entertainment industry, Lumi’s powerful visual software makes end-to-end production faster, easier, and better.

Lumi is built by software architects with decades of experience in secure and scalable enterprise systems and data management. It is used by leading teams around the world making reality TV, variety TV, radio programs, sport docos, factuals, brand storytelling and more.

What we do

Lumi’s SaaS platform supports the end-to-end process of creative content production and is customisable to suit any editorial project and way of working. We focus on helping producers and their teams connect the whole team to the whole story and pulling all the creative pieces together in one place.

By centralising the information, workflow, data and communications of every project, Lumi streamlines and improves production outcomes. This is all the foundation to successfully overlay AI, which can improve content outcomes even more.

You’ve got all the great people. Lumi’s software powers them up so they can be their best together.

“The more I used it, the more I loved it. Once you unlock the power of the platform, it is really mind-blowing.” Gary Hawker, Series Post Producer, Luxe Listings Toronto, McGillivray Entertainment Media Inc. for Amazon

“Lumi isn’t about substituting or over systemising the creative process; it’s about giving me the opportunity to focus on the creative process more.” Sheldon Wynne, Senior Post Producer, Making Their Mark, JamTV for Amazon

“One week in and we realised there were lots of things we no longer needed – Lumi was doing it all. With everything in one place, it was so much easier to find everything – all linked to one patient card.” Louise Bartmann, Series Producer, 24 Hours in A&E, ITV Studios UK
