Lumi’s enterprise-grade operating system has been built and proven over almost a decade, in partnership with leading production companies in the US, UK, and Australia.  It has been designed by experienced producers and based on real, high-pressure creative environments. 

We understand the vast amounts of information - schedules, crew logistics, casting data, transcripts, logs, and thousands of hours of footage. The problem isn’t lack of data. It’s that information doesn’t live with the work.

More than 25 years of senior leadership experience across Australia’s five major television networks. Having worked at Nine, Seven, Ten, ABC and SBS, she brings deep, first-hand understanding of the operational, creative and commercial realities of large-scale content production.

Karen is known for her strategic, solutions-driven approach and a relentless focus on improving how work gets done. Her guiding belief - there must be a better way - shapes Lumi’s practical, enterprise-ready technology, designed by people who truly understand production complexity.

With international experience across factual, reality, documentary, live and entertainment television, Karen ensures Lumi delivers scalable solutions that work in real-world environments. Under her leadership, Lumi has earned global recognition, including the 2024 Content Innovation Award for Sustainability and Innovation in Cannes and the 2023 InnovationAus Award for Creative Tech and Software.

Neil Dewey

Diverse technical background spanning software architecture, intelligence systems, and large-scale technology delivery. With decades of experience designing and building complex software platforms, he brings deep technical insight into how systems must perform in real-world, high-pressure environments.

Neil is known for his ability to translate complexity into clear, resilient architectures that scale. His work is grounded in a belief that well-designed software should make work simpler, smarter, and more reliable - especially for teams operating at enterprise level.

With extensive experience designing intelligence-driven systems and leading multidisciplinary teams, Neil ensures Lumi’s technology is robust, secure, and future-ready, supporting customers with platforms that perform reliably today and evolve intelligently over time.
